Exciting news! – I’ve completely rebranded and got a whole new logo, website and a bunch of new photos. So, what does this mean for you, my potential couples?
For a long time now I have wanted to re-brand. I have never been truly happy with my logo, or my website for that matter. Upon getting in to videography properly in 2018, I got myself a cheap wix website and built it as best I could at the time. I then googled desperately to find someone that could design me a logo and came across fiver.com. I think I paid as little as about £7 for a logo just so I had something to use on my business cards and website. It was a start and it worked, but it wasn’t me.
Fast forward to Spring 2020 and I decided it was time to invest is a complete rebrand and sort both my branding and website out properly so that I had something I was proud of and that not only represented me properly as wedding videographer, but also attracted the type of couples and weddings I wanted.
I was recommended Becky Lord Design by a photographer in the wedding suppliers group I am a member of – Engage Members Club (thank you Becky Harley Photography!) and upon looking at brand designer Becky’s previous work and going through her website I knew immediately she was who I wanted to help me in in developing my brand.
1. THE NEW LOGO
After a very in depth process of filling in a questionnaire and creating a mood board on pinterest, plus chatting to Becky on the phone to find out exactly where I wanted to take things, I had soon received my first couple of logo concepts, super exciting!
I went for the one that I felt reflected my business the best and I am so happy with it. As you can see below my new logo is a significant upgrade to my previous one! (How did I last so long?).
2. THE WEBSITE
Next up we have the website, the very one you are reading this blog on now!
Becky knew I was after a ‘dark mode’ style website. I have always been a fan of this style, and have pretty much all of my apps on my phone and MacBook set to dark mode so it seemed fitting. I wanted a minimal and clean look and a website that was fun and not too serious, but that also highlighted a quality product and service. I think Becky has done a fantastic job in reflecting exactly that.
3. BRANDING PHOTOS
At this point I had very little professional photos of me and so I knew it was time to invest in getting some done. I had met photographer Rafe Abrook when I was second shooting on a wedding in 2019 and had been following his work since. I love his style, and having a slightly moodier/darker feel to it as opposed to light and airy, reflected my video work more, and so thought it would be great for him to do some photos for me.
I got in touch and Rafe was more than happy to help. He set up a morning to get some photos at the beautiful wedding venue of South Farm – Thanks again to them for letting us do the shoot there. We were there for about an hour and got plenty of shots around the stunning venue.
The pictures were back to me within a few days and ready to send to Becky to put on the website, we were finished!
Now I feel my whole brand and website really represents me.
So what does this mean for you?
If you are a couple that wants a natural looking wedding film, that is captured unobtrusively on the day, whilst offering a strong focus on telling the story of the both of you then I am the videographer for you and I hope my website now shows that. I am really passionate about capturing all of the emotion of the day as opposed to just offering a random set of clips set to a music track.
I would love to work with couples that want to show off all of the beauty of their day, so that I can film exactly that for them – this way when they watch the films back in years to come, everything will be remembered as if you were re-living it all over again.
I am based in Hertfordshire but I love to travel and film in new places, so nowhere (and I really do mean nowhere) is too far for me to consider filming!
If you would like to enquire with me about filming your wedding please do contact me and we can have a chat.
Alternatively, If you are a supplier with a similar style – please do get in touch, I love to collaborate with other creatives!
